Julia – Grade 1
Sacred Heart School

Julia is a first grader at Sacred Heart School in the Bronx.

She was born in the Fordham section of the Bronx where she lives today with her mother and brother. Her favorite subject is Math; she loves to count. Julia's favorite food of all time is spaghetti and meatballs.

Earlier in the year, her mother was able to transfer Julia and her brother, John, out of the local public school they were attending into Sacred Heart. John was being bullied and their mother knew her children needed a better place to receive their education. Luckily, through ICSF's Cardinal's Scholarship Program, John received a scholarship that helped their mother send both her children to a Catholic school where they'll be safe and their chances for success are high.

Unfortunately, Julia's mother's adjusted income is negative $5,896 and without a scholarship for Julia, she will not be able to keep her in the school she has grown to love.
